is no longer available. I chose it because the month I was writing the unit, the Everyday Food magazine happened to have a small article on how to use a thermometer, which I thought was a perfect fit. You can find the link to the article online
here. As for the cumulative project, each issue of Everyday Food has a complete menu where they lay out the grocery store list, and the timetable for cooking it. You can find this magazine at your local grocery store, just pick up the current issue.
