New Preschool Program
"I have heard Waldorf is wonderful and I really want to try it with my young child, but
I don't know anything about it. I'm really just learing. Where do I begin?"
Having been doing Waldorf for over two years, I have new and different ideas
about how to go about it from the way I began; however, I am keeping my old curriculum on
the site as well as many families find it useful in their transition to Waldorf. For my old lesson
plans, including 6 week units and newsletter topics, see the links below. For my
new list of the essential books & supplies and how to go about "homeschooling" with Waldorf for
ages 2 and up, please click here.
Old Preschool Program
We offer a complete curriculum package for the preschool years. What's unique about our Preschool Package.
Click here to see the Curriculum Overview for the Preschool Years and Recommended
Resources, including links to our units and newsletter topics, many downloadable in pdf format absolutely free!
Please note: You will need to have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view our preschool materials.
Kindergarten
In response to many requests, I have made
a Kindergarten Curriculum Booklist which builds upon the list for Preschool (see "New Preschool
Package" above). Natalie will be five in March and beginning Kindergarten
at that time; I am currently purchasing the books on this list and making preparations.
No lesson plans are available as of yet.
Bridge
Bridge is a homeschool program for 6 year olds preparing to enter First Grade.
Includes signs of First Grade readiness.
First Grade
The First Grade section of our website includes a collection
of articles and helpful online links, sample lesson plans from other curriculum
companies, and the First Grade Curriculum Overview.
This overview contains all of my notes on what and how to teach
in first grade. It is 138 pages long.
I also offer my thoughts on a First
Grade Booklist, a shorter list of essential books which, combined with the Kindergarter Booklist,
will give you everything you need to teach First Grade with confidence.
Second Grade
We have two completed units available for second grade: "Fables" and "Saints". Please visit
Curriculum Overviews for the Lower Grades and Recommended Resources for suggestions on curriculum content.
Third Grade
We have one completed unit available for third grade: "Baking: Time, Temperature, Weight, and Volume". Please visit
Curriculum Overviews for the Lower Grades and Recommended Resources for suggestions on curriculum content.
Fourth Grade
We have one completed unit available for fourth grade: "Introduction to Fractions". Please visit
Curriculum Overviews for the Lower Grades and Recommended Resources for suggestions on curriculum content.
Grades 5 through 8
We have no units available for these years.
Please visit
Curriculum Overviews for the Upper Grades and Recommended Resources
for suggestions on curriculum content.
Additional Resources -- Sunday School Curriculum
I've temporarily taken my 3rd/4th/5th grade class Sunday School resources off the site because I am working on condensing my notes into two Old Testament Stories blocks
for 3rd grade (coming soon). In the meantime, to see what we are up in my S.S. class, please check my blog.
Here are some Bible Alphabet notes I am considering for a 1st & 2nd grade Sunday School class.
